HEART OF ENGLAND CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY FUNERAL DIVISION SEES CONSIDERABLE TAKE UP IN NEW SERVICES

The Heart of England Co-operative Society’s Funeral Division has seen an impressive take-up in a new range of services launched earlier this year.

The Society, which runs 10 funeral homes across Coventry, Warwickshire, south Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, teamed up with Co-operative Legal Services to offer all their clients general legal advice on a range of issues, specialising specifically in wills and probate.

Client families who use the Society’s service are offered a free initial consultation over the telephone. If they still have queries by the end of the call they are offered the chance of a free, no obligation, face-to-face meeting with legal experts.

Darryl Smith, General Manager of the Funeral Division, said the new services had proven very popular among client families with the probate services and will writing being frequently requested. Mr Smith said he believed the popularity of the services was due to the Society offering them at a more competitive price than a High Street solicitor.

He said: “Since we introduced our wills and probate service earlier this year we have seen an impressive take-up among our client families. Grieving relatives already have enough to deal with in terms of losing a loved one and arranging the funeral without having to worry about wills and probate. Here at the Heart of England Co-operative Society we are only too pleased to offer our client families a complete service in a one-stop shop.”
